Volcano facts

1) 1,000s of people are in range or danger of an 'active' volcano.


2) There are more than 1500 'active' volcanos in the world, but the scientists say that there are more volcanos underneath the sea bedrock.


3) The largest 'active' volcano in the world Mauna Loa in Hawaii.


4) Most of the scientists think there are only volcanos in planet Earth, but they are wrong. There is one on mars, it is the biggest volcano in history and it is 3 times bigger than Mount Everest. It is called Olympus Mons.
