Underwater Volcanos
Underwater volcanos don't spew normal lava. The lava changes into 'Pillow vessels' there will be rocks that will pour lava out that will turn into balls of lava that look like pillows.
That is why they are called pillow vessels. The water cools the lava much faster than air can, the lava is more thinner and soupier than what it is on land. There are also these gas eruptions exploding underwater, on the surface of the water it should be hot sometimes but not always. It is exactly the same thing that happens on land, but on land it just dissolves in air at some stage instead of just being gloopy underwater.

Volcano facts
1) 1,000s of people are in range or danger of an 'active' volcano.
2) There are more than 1500 'active' volcanos in the world, but the scientists say that there are more volcanos underneath the sea bedrock.
3) The largest 'active' volcano in the world Mauna Loa in Hawaii.
4) Most of the scientists think there are only volcanos in planet Earth, but they are wrong. There is one on mars, it is the biggest volcano in history and it is 3 times bigger than Mount Everest. It is called Olympus Mons.
5) Sometimes lightning is spotted up on volcanic clouds... but it is not clear why this happens.

Digging though Earth's body
The deeper we go into the earth, the more you will see. The temperatures will also vary. The pressure will be higher and there will be even different creatures that we haven't seen yet. Scientists say some new creatures can live over 1,000 years and they can live very high temperatures. These creatures get smaller and smaller the deeper we dig, sometimes it's so hard to see that you cant even see it with a naked eye!

Scientists say that as soon as they hit the inner core they won't need any power plants because one drip is so powerful, but this could be a huge mistake. when they collect the sample it might turn into something like acid, because you are mixing something with a normal temperature with a 1,000°

Volcano Building
INSIDE EARTH
As you can see the Convection Cell is like an elevator for the lava, the Cell moves the lava around in a circle so it can stay hot, it goes up to cool down the lava then it goes down to reheat, a little bit like a lava lamp!
The Outer Core is protected with the Convection Cell, the deeper you go into the earth the more hotter lava there will be, also, when you get deeper you will probably notice that the lava will change colour to a lighter orange. In the Inner core the lava is protected with an iron belt of white lava! it burns stuff in slow-motion!
if the Convection Cell gets a little crazy it will force the land to collide together which will create a mountain, if it continues to collide the lava will get squashed and make the lava burst at the top of the mountain which will make a Volcano, but that doesn't mean its an active volcano, if the plates collide underneath the volcano it will erupt!
